Holiday Inspiration...

It's tough to write holiday lyrics in July I am finding. That's where you my beloved family and friends come in. I need some lyrics inspiration. Please post a favorite Christmas story or tradition in the comments. I will give you a digital hug if you do.

Twelve Terrors of Christmas Might inspire a different tone. Could create a darker song. You could sound off about turtle necks, shopping christmas consumerism madness, greed, nasty fruit cake, and even horrible Christmas movies that come out every year. (Jingle all the way, The Santa Clause 1-3, Polar Express, Christmas w/ the Cranks, Surviving Christmas starring Ben Affleck, the list goes on and on.) Sorry I think I'm in a irritated mood right now. You should just do a happy song :)

I always loved the magic of sleeping underneath the sparkling lights of the Christmas tree at least once during the season.

I also loved taking off my glasses and seeing all the beautiful blur of the lights. Sounds silly, but it's true.

I also used to look up at the starry night sky and try to find the "new" star.

Maybe something about how to tell or IF and WHEN to tell your kids about Santa.

My favorite Christmas memories:
moonlight snowball fights on Christmas eve, acting out the Nativity, eating too much, new pajamas, cousins, and Muppets.

White-flocked Christmas trees with blue lights and silky ornaments, the family Santa hat, Christmas caroling in the trailer, shopping at the mall for each other, the same Christmas albums playing year after year, Christmas specials on TV, plates of treats from neighbors, etc...
